Heart Valve Center

Valvular heart disease refers to any condition of the heart valves. These include valvular regurgitation (which includes mitral valve prolapse) and stenosis (narrowing or stiffening of a valve). Heart valve procedures require either open heart or minimally invasive surgery. Valves may be replaced with donor (either human or animal) or mechanical heart valves.
